EVERYONE....I am sorry if any of you have gotten "dirty" messages from a member on here. HEY MEMBERS

Hey everyone,

I just wanted to ask all members to go to the forum and under "census" please list your MODY type here. We have some people who are wanting to connect with others with the same MODY and they are not sure who has what #. SO if we all sign up in the "census" forum it will be easy for everyone to find each other!

You can probably figure out whether it is MODY2 or MODY3 based on symptoms. If you need research articles I can send you some. The key would be if Fasting's are high I think it is more likely MODY2 - if you mainly see post-meal spikes go high…

Just diagnosed

Hi all,We are here for my son Andrew. He is 7 years old, and through some random blood tests we discovered that he had elevated BG levels. Through other testing it was decided that he didn't have T1 or T2 diabetes, but MODY. They probably won't ever do any genetic testing... insurance won't pay for it. Welcome to the community!

This is a site dedicated to bringing people with Maturity Onset Diabetes of the Young, otherwise known as MODY together. A place to relate to others! People with MODY are such a small population of the diabetic community that there was no other place I could find to share info, and just get to know other people who understood my situation an struggles. I don't have MODY, but my husband, son and daughter all do. They were diagnosed through genetic testing with MODY2. We struggled for years until we finally got a diagnosis, and even then had no one else to relate to except our Endocrinologist. I hope everyone who enters this site is as blessed as I am with the people they get to know here!
